Via Space/Satellite Air Time group was founded in 1999 by Frenchman Claude Roullot. It started as a small satellite communication service provider based in France under the name of Agence Via Space but grew quickly, expanding to the Indian Ocean and diversifying its activities to other products and services. The Mauritian branch was established in 2000 under the name of Satellite Air Time, followed by Via Space Madagascar in 2006.
In 2005, the group added to its satellite activities the retail of radio and marine electronics material via its Mauritian company Sixth Ocean.
Today Via Space group is operating in most parts of the world. We have offices in Mauritius, Madagascar and France and important partners in Africa and the Indian Ocean.
